Default Exhaustion upon hitting zero energy

seriously.

it makes sense, and it makes energy denial all the more potent and worthwhile in both PvE and PvP. it might also help speed up some of the mind-bogglingly slow PvP matches.

if, for balance reasons, you need to put caps on it then so be it. (say, once per 5 seconds or whatever).

in PvE, if you think it's too much to deal with on normal mode - make it hard mode only.

Exactly, because switching to Low-Sets needs to be punished. I mean, it's not like we're trying to promote skillfull play, are we?

and

for obvious reasons - Sorry bud, but this would only hurt the game, seeing how as Exhaustion (as it is now) is already something "broken" and is often a factor that makes build not work...

Hard mode doesn't necessarily mean annoying mode xD.

/notsigned

Exhaustion at 0 energy is a little dumb and it won't really make anything go faster. Maybe the enemy will suffer from no energy but so will you.

Do not understand the logic of being exhausted at level 0, you are already out of energy, isn't that exhausted enough for you?

I will have to /not signed this one.

That, and Warriors suddenly become self-owned by having a low initial mana pool.

/notsigned.

Seriously, why? just because it "makes sense" from a logical point of view doesn't mean it would work balance or mechanicaly.

The only time we'd see this happening is while switching weapon sets or for heroes.

Everyone else would wait till 6e instead of 5e to cast Orison. Pointless really.

IT doesnt makes sense at, exhaustion doesnt necessary means you have no more energy / power. you were just exhausted from the current action that you have made.

I could agree with this if it was caused by a 'energy removal' skill. In a ratio of 1 point of ehaustion for every 5 points of energy stolen under 0 energy.

But not just by hitting 0 energy.

You have 5 energy. You cast Word of Healing/Flare/Parasitic Bond/(any 5 energy spell). You go to 0 energy. Due to your insane idea, you now have 30 seconds to wait until you gain the ability to get energy back (exhaustion of 10 energy takes 30 seconds to remove, and it placed you at -10 energy).

Makes Mesmers take Energy Surge, Energy Burn, Signet Weariness, Guilt, Shame, Power Leak, Energy Tap, Ether Feast, etc. Necro, Assassin, and Ranger all have skills to easily remove energy from a foe as well. I'd rather not see the new meta become energy denial.

or we could all use more hexes/spirits etc that increase chance of exhausting you? this would definitely be more challenging, and [possibly] bring to your attention how annoyed you would feel if you had it done to yourself? heh i guess step in your opponents' shoes first before posting

Next will be asking for the effects of Famine to happen as standard when you run out of energy.... ooo one way to take out the 55 farmers there.... take 30+ dmg when 0 energy all the time yay....

Think any penalty to hitting 0 energy except from the Elites in the game is just dumb.... Famine has a reason... why add more bane to running out of energy..... it's already a problem for the player... unless they are an adrenaline Dragonslash junkie
